This is my first post to this new blog.
The purpose of keeping the blog is to give me a semi-public place to describe the ongoing process of doing and thinking about my lab's research. I hope I'll use it to describe/explain (mainly to myself) the scientific issues I'm thinking about:
-what experiments we've done
-what the results were if they worked (or possible explanations for why they didn't work)
-what I think the results mean for the questions we're trying to answer
-what experiments I think we might do or should do when time and resources permit.
The purpose of this post, however, is mainly to see what happens when I click on 'Publish Post'.

Thank you so much for the comment in my blog :). It is nice to know that is not totally utopian to have a more open science community.
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog! It is only by describing the details of our research that we can really move forward and expect meaningful feedback.
ReplyDeleteLate to the party, but let me add my voice to the chorus here: it's wonderful to see a PI doing science in the open. What you are doing here is, I think, a welcome step down the path scientists must take if they are going to find ways to cope with increasingly-complex questions. Not only that, but it will be a lot more fun to do science when co-operation is emphasized over competition.
